Last week we gave you hints and tips to make your home feel cosy, but what about you feeling warm this winter? This week, we are looking at the best ways to keep you (and your home) wrapped up warm this winter!

Our top winter essential has to be an extra quilt. Purchased to sit neatly on the end of bed, but actually used to snuggle up on the sofa; a quilt is a great way to add layers to your home just as you would add scarves and gloves if you were heading outside! The quilt below is from Zara Home, the cool grey is understated and neutral so can be used throughout your home to keep you cosy! Similarly, slinging kitted throws over the arms of chairs and sofas is a great way to have layers on-hand whilst also adding a relaxed and inviting touch to the space. The Marks & Spencer chunky-knit throw shown below is a perfect example of how to achieve this relaxed and cosy look. Using high quality natural fabrics, such as wool, keep your home looking sophisticated whilst also serving as an extra jumper when needed! Another great way to keep cosy is by adding rugs to bare floors. Sheepskin rugs are a fantastic for keeping toes warm whilst adding a luxurious seasonal element to the room. This rug in grey from John Lewis can also be purchased in white and mocha. To view the full collection click on the link below:

Sometimes traditional is best, which is why if you’re chilly a great way to keep warm is with a tried-and-tested hot water bottle. This understated but festive hot water bottle and red chunky-knit cover from Habitat is perfect for staying toasty on frosty evenings. To view their full collection simply click on the link below:

Finally, the best way to warm up after a snow (rain) storm, is a long, hot bath. The Sanctuary’s range of bubble baths and soaks add a sense of luxury that allow you to relax, wind down and most importantly at this time of year, warm up!
