Where to watch the Rugby World Cup in West London

by Lucy Bryant, Wednesday 16 September 2015

With the Rugby World Cup fast approaching we thought it would be useful (necessary) to establish the top spots in West London and beyond to watch every try, drop goal and anthem. No matter the shirt you’re sporting, these West London Pubs offer a selection of ales and lagers, hearty food and of course a lively atmosphere!

The Famous 3 Kings brewery in West Kensington calls itself ‘London’s best sports bar’ and this could well be the case! With over a dozen screens including 3 big screens, this traditional sports bar guarantees a great view and a roaring atmosphere! During the recent 6 Nations tournament they even set aside a room for Welsh supporters, so if you’re shouting ‘yn dod ar cymru!’ then the Famous 3 Kings is the perfect brewery for you! If you want to watch the rugby in a more novel way then the Sheldon Square Screen in Paddington is bound to excite you! The giant screen will be showing all major world cup matches for free so there really is no excuse to not show your support! For more information on the matches being shown use the link below:

After a more exclusive rugby screening? Under The Bridge in Chelsea are offering a chance to watch England V Fiji on one of their 18 screens for £20. This includes entry, a drinks voucher, entertainment and a pulled pork burger (and the match of course!). For a more local experience, the nearby Geronimo Inn’s: The Chelsea Ram and The Elgin Pubs in Chelsea and Notting Hill respectively, are showing all the fixtures. In addition, they are running several social media campaigns in which you can win anything from balls and shirts to tickets to the final it’s definitely worth immersing yourself in all the rugby these pubs have to offer! Another great local establishment showing the rugby this autumn is the Walmer Castle in Notting Hill. With honest British food to prepare you for the match and great beer to keep you going through the game, this local bar even offers the opportunity to book a great seat before the game!
