Laurence Lai

London Sales Director

Laurence first became an Estate Agent in 1990 and has spent most of his working life acting for clients in The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. He has successfully sold properties in Chelsea, Chiswick, Earl's Court, Hammersmith, Kensington, Mayfair, Notting Hill and South Kensington.

He was previously a Partner and Office Head at Knight Frank and prior to this was a Board Director at Faron Sutaria. Laurence specialises in the Prime and Super Prime London markets and has been instrumental in selling some of the finest houses and apartments in the capital.

Jerry Epton MRICS

Guru for W11, W2 & N1

Jerry is the Property Guru and Local Expert for W11, W2 and W10 starting out with Knight Frank as a graduate where he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and went on to be a property developer with The Raven Group. Jerry has lived in W11 for over 25 years and set up YOUhome’s London presence with the founder Adrian Black four years ago.

Jerry plays music professionally with a band of 30 plus years and plays tennis (less professionally) at Campden Hill Lawn Tennis Club.

Jerry’s property tip: the effect of cleaned windows can be transformative.

Alex Mathew

Guru for W8 & W14

Alex, who has a degree in textile and fashion design, personally became inspired by property living in and assisting with the renovation of her family home in Kent. With over ten years' experience as a top residential sales negotiator in Prime Central London, predominately in RBKC, she combines her passion for architecture and design, personal knowledge of the trials and tribulations of managing a listed home and her savvy business sense to provide a no nonsense approach to getting results for her clients.

Alex enjoys socialising with friends and when she gets the time (or more importantly the motivation) she enjoys rock climbing and riding.

Alex’s property tip: before a viewing ensure all loo seats are down and beds are made. First impressions count.

Davide Moi

Guru for SW5 & SW7

Davide joined YOUhome having worked in the Prime Central London market, specifically in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, for over 15 years. He has a background in property in his native Rome too and has a wealth of experience selling and advising international clients. He is a long time Chelsea resident and has a true passion for the Royal Borough and its varied areas and properties.

When not selling houses and apartments Davide, a keen cyclist, can be found riding his bike and clocking up the miles (or kilometres as he prefers to refer to) all the way to the Surrey Hills or the Kent countryside or taking part in gruelling cycling events, in the UK and abroad.

Davide’s property tip: to sellers is not to fall for the hype and unrealistic promises most estate agents are willing to dispense so easily and for a name or brand but to choose the company they want to be represented by on ground of maturity, experience and local knowledge of the individual who will be ultimately responsible for selling their most prized asset.

Hugo Headlam

Guru for SW1, SW11 & SW18

With 18+ years running local Belgravia/Pimlico and Wandsworth estate agency offices, selling at all levels of the market and bringing both offices to their best years, Hugo brings his deep understanding of the property market to YOUhome, specifically focusing on Belgravia/Pimlico and Battersea/Wandsworth, where he’s also been a resident for the past 25 years.

Prior to this, Hugo spent 20 years in the city as an insurance broker but made the switch to satiate his love of property, which stemmed from his mother who was a self-employed developer, sales and lettings agent.

As father to two grown daughters, a self-proclaimed fitness fanatic, Hugo loves skiing, can be found cycling in Richmond Park and the Surrey Hills or training for his next marathon. He loves the cinema, art, music, fashion and theatre; as a resident of London, why not?

Hugo’s Property Tip: Apart from instructing a reputable agent, one you feel confident in working with, first impressions count. Ensure that your property has the best “curb appeal”, with the front door freshly painted or at least cleaned, and any front garden plants looking healthy and happy! A tired and scruffy looking property sends out the wrong message, and lets it down, especially if newly refurbished inside. Also de-clutter, which includes removing piles of old magazines and thinning out the family photos, as too many “objects” only detract from the property itself.

Tim Johnston

Guru for SW3, SW6 & SW10

Tim brings 18 years of experience in both property sales and acquisitions to YOUhome, having bought and sold hundreds of properties primarily across Prime Central London, along with a period in the Middle East.

Tim also brings a deep understanding of what buyers are seeking, having run his own acquisitions firm for several years. Tim originally set out on a career in marketing and telecommunications but made the switch when he received an opportunity in the property world, managing a Knightsbridge agency. He has been a resident of West London since arriving from Ireland in 1996 and has thorough knowledge of Chelsea and Fulham.

In his spare time, he likes to keep fit and is an enthusiastic, if not expert, skier, golfer and tennis player. A keen motorcyclist, he has ridden over the Himalayas on a Royal Enfield. He enjoys reading, the cinema and watching rugby, and has travelled extensively across the globe.

Tim's Property Tip: It's important to ensure that whoever values your property and gives you advice on your sale is then responsible for backing up what they have said and will not just be handing the responsibility to someone else. Make your agent accountable.

Mark O'Neill

Guru for SE22, SE21, SE15, SE11 and SE5

Having worked in the industry for nearly 30 years for some of the most significant companies in the capital Mark has helped thousands of people buy and sell their homes in London. He has resided in South East London for many years and his experience working in the local area has led him to consider this area as having the most vibrant housing market in London. He believes that more and more people are realising what a great place it is to live in, with a great property stock, good schools and often great high streets with lots of independent retailers, and that it offers better housing value than many other parts on London. Furthermore, as a parent he has been through the school entry process so really understands how important this aspect is to many buyers considering the area.

Mark's Property Tip: There is so much more to buying and selling a property today than there ever was in the past. It is no longer enough to simply show a house and wait for the prospective buyer to make their mind up. Properties need selling by an agent that really knows their business and area and that completely involves it’s vendors in the whole process.
